M. J. Gardner's Writing Journey
Welcome to M.J. Gardner's
Writing Website
Writer / Educator/ Collaborator/Web Designer
Miranda J. Gardner has been the Writing Instructor for the Upward Bound College Readiness Program at the University of Washington since January 2020. Her writing ambition is fueled by a lifelong love for storytelling, especially the true stories about her grandmother's cycling journey from Michigan to South America, her passion for long-distance cycling, nature, and what women's bodies can do. Furthermore, Miranda is writing poems about her experience with ADHD, trauma, and grief. Her current work-in-progress is a narrative memoir combining her grandmother's and her cycling adventures and a book of poetry about trauma. Miranda has taught Creative Writing via the University of Washington's Upward Bound program's Summer Academy since 2020. She earned a master's in creative and professional writing at Central Washington University and graduated in Winter 2024. After graduation, she plans to complete her major projects, "A Tribute to Grandma Doris: Cycling through Time" and Trauma Queen.
